Ministers adopted a Joint Statement that, in Lavrov's words, gives a clear and principled assessment of the international situation and sets tasks in line with prior heads-of-state decisions. Sectoral documents for energy, artificial intelligence, health and other tracks are expected before Bishkek.

A Joint Statement of the foreign ministers has been adopted. It clearly and on principle assesses the situation in the international arena.

Asked about the next stage of relations as Kyrgyzstan marks 35 years of independence, Lavrov answers: deeper alliance and strategic partnership in all fields, as directed by the presidents — defence, the defence-industrial complex, security, foreign-policy coordination, and economic and investment tracks.

Asked whether the SCO is a centre of the multipolar world, Lavrov answers yes without hesitation. The SCO "family" of 27 countries represents more than 40 percent of the world's population and more than a third of the world economy, with interest from non-members rising under the new partner status.

Is the SCO one of the centres of the multipolar world? … The answer is yes.

Сейчас семейство ШОС включает 27 стран. Они представляют собой более 40% населения Земли, более трети мировой экономики.

The SCO family now includes 27 countries. They represent more than 40 percent of the Earth's population and more than a third of the world economy.

Россия работала с предложениями США, одобренными Трампом; согласие было; провал — на стороне Киева и ЕС, а не Москвы.

Responding to Secretary Rubio's claim that the Anchorage understandings failed because Ukrainians disagree, Lavrov insists the question is who failed. Russia arrived in Anchorage with US proposals approved by President Trump and put them to work; President Putin had doubts but ultimately agreed. If there was a proposal and agreement, coordinated results existed in Anchorage. Trump himself called the package partly compromise and said Zelensky would do what was proposed — which did not happen. Lavrov cites Trump's post-Alaska praise that almost everything was settled and a basis remained.

As for the claim that the Anchorage understandings failed, one should probably understand who exactly failed.

If there is a proposal and there is agreement, then presumably there were coordinated results in Anchorage? There were.

Lavrov says Trump's proposal failed because Ukraine refused to act and the EU was unwilling; after Alaska they worked over the US administration in Washington. A G7 summit declaration fully backed Ukraine's territorial integrity while ignoring that large parts of former Ukrainian territory are home to people branded "terrorists" and "non-humans" by Kyiv's new military leadership — people who now live within the Russian Federation in Crimea, Donbass and Novorossiya. He cites Macron saying Anchorage is over and America is with them again, and Ukraine's acting foreign minister saying they buried the Anchorage understandings.

Lavrov links arrogant rejection of US proposals to the massive arming of Zelensky with weapons and drones used to attack civilian targets and undermine Russia's stability. He stresses that American help is a major part of that support — not only arms sold to the EU and passed on, but intelligence, Starlink, and high technology on the battlefield.

Lavrov closes that Russia's conscience is clean — "a guy's word": said and ready. The other side's approach has shifted, judging by Rubio, but the tasks set by President Putin in June 2024 will be fulfilled.
