Asked whether the UN shows willingness to help settle the Ukraine crisis, Lavrov recounts telling Secretary-General António Guterres that Russia opens humanitarian corridors daily but Ukrainian nationalist battalions prevent civilians from leaving, using them as human shields and placing heavy weapons in residential areas to provoke return fire. Lavrov advises Guterres to direct his appeals primarily to Kyiv to stop obstructing civilian evacuation.

Albusaidi thanks Lavrov for the assessment and reaffirms that the primary path to ending the conflict must be negotiations and dialogue, which Oman fully supports.

On energy policy, Albusaidi states that Oman remains committed to prior OPEC+ agreements and will continue close coordination with Russia as fellow members of the format. He reports no direct pressure on Muscat, though numerous requests are addressed to Oman, and leaves questions about Western sanctions on Russia to the countries that imposed them. Lavrov welcomes Oman's adherence to agreed production frameworks.

На вопрос о выдерживании санкций Лавров заявляет, что Россия не будет рассчитывать на договороспособность Запада, имеет достаточно покупателей энергоресурсов и будет работать с ними, тогда как Запад заплатит значительно больше.

Asked how Russia can withstand Western sanctions, especially on energy, Lavrov states that Moscow has a clear understanding of how to move forward and will not rely on the West being a reliable contractual partner. Russia has sufficient buyers for its energy resources and will work with them, while the West will pay far more and must explain to its populations why they are becoming poorer. Lavrov presents economic reorientation rather than capitulation to sanctions as Russia's strategic response.

We have enough buyers for our energy resources and we will work with them, while let the West pay far more than it paid the Russian Federation and let it explain to its population why it must become poorer.
