Lavrov opens the annual 1 September meeting at MGIMO — a long-standing tradition for students who will serve in the Foreign Ministry, state bodies, science, journalism and business. He declines a lengthy prepared speech in favour of maximum interactivity with students who chose MGIMO out of genuine interest in international affairs.

Россия — объект агрессивной политики Запада. Украинский режим выполняет самоубийственную функцию — ему прощается неонацистская политика уничтожения всего русского.

Russia is the object of aggressive Western policy to restrain its development and create border threats. The Ukrainian regime is excused for neo-Nazi theory and practice, including open policy to destroy everything Russian; Zelensky's circle speaks of legal and physical extermination without Western reaction because Kyiv contains Russia as an independent player.

В качестве инструмента выбран украинский режим, которому для того, чтобы он выполнял отведённую ему самоубийственную функцию, прощается всё, включая его нацистское поведение, неонацистскую теорию и практику, которые в том числе заключаются в открыто объявленной политике уничтожения всего русского.

As the instrument, the Ukrainian regime has been chosen — to perform its suicidal function, everything is excused, including Nazi behaviour and neo-Nazi theory and practice, including an openly declared policy of destroying everything Russian.
